Business success is NOT by luck, but by DESIGN!

Usually, people start on their entrepreneurial journey for one of two reasons:

  1. They realize that they are not being paid what they’re worth, and/ or
  2. They KNOW they have a burning desire to create a life they will LOVE TO LIVE (regardless of the amount of money they earn)

WHAT MADE YOU TAKE THE LEAP?

Growing up, I was blessed to be surrounded by entrepreneurs and artists – musicians, fashion designers, etc. Although, back in those days, the buzz word was “self-employed”.

All I knew, was that these people didn’t work “normal” hours, and did different types of work. This was very interesting!

I liked to make money, and did so by any means necessary – babysitting, house sitting, dog walking… you name it. I also worked as a waitress, from age 12 to 14, until I could get my working papers.

The one key factor for me, in every position I held, was LEARNING. I made it my business to learn about every position I could gain access to, often working before and after my shift.

When a person starts a business, they have an idea for a product or service that they feel will fill the need of many people in their target market… GREAT!

Hopefully, they’ve done the research to test this idea. This is called “market research”.

Unfortunately, too many people don’t take the time to learn exactly HOW to start and launch their business.

There’s much more to starting a business than having a great idea, a pretty logo designed, buying a domain and putting up a website, displaying products and services, with an “OPEN” sign.

Yes, these are necessary, but there’s much more to a business than your products and services.

  5. Stay focused on your mission and vision – I urge all my clients to write their mission and vision statements on a big piece of paper, and tape it to their mirror… right next to their affirmations.

Once you have these key pieces in place, you will be able to develop a rock-solid business brand, digital marketing and content creation strategy… all working together to EXPOSE your knowledge and expertise to the world!
