Business Basics: Don’t Try to Grow Alone!

Your network will determine your NET WORTH!

Are you trying to GROW your business alone?

Do you keep your business to yourself, for fear of what others may say? Are you trying to learn and DO it ALL alone?

You can’t GROW alone… Period!

It’s a proven fact that FEAR is the #1 reason why people don’t do something. The best way to knock fear on its butt, is to keep your WHY in front of you at ALL times!

Even if your WHY is simply:

  • Pay my bills
  • Buy groceries
  • Gas money
  • Summer vacation
  • Or something else you need or want – YESSS,,, you deserve your WANTs, too!

Your WHY doesn’t have to be some lavish trip overseas, or a Mercedes-Benz 550  Whatever it is, though, you need to keep it in front of you.

  • Put a sticky on your computer screen
  • Put the bill on your refrigerator
  • Tape a note to your bathroom mirror

 

THEN… it’s time to find the RIGHT network of like-hearted people to help you GROW toward your WHY.

Look for a great online community, that is full of people who have businesses – large and small – who you can network with.

Social networking is such a valuable asset! If you’re not taking advantage of the large groups on Facebook, LinkedIn or Google+, you’re missing out on a huge opportunity to form alliances, not to mention your potential customers and clients.

Also, find local groups, in or near your community, to network with. You can probably find at least one group on:

  • Meetup.com
  • Google+ local organizations
  • local organizations on Facebook

OF COURSE… SAFETY FIRST! Do your research on whatever group(s) you’re interested in joining. You may want to reach out to a few of their members. Get their feedback on how the group operates, and if it is truly an asset, and worth your time to attend. This way you’ll have an idea of what to expect.

OK… so your WHY is in front of you. Plus, you’re starting to grow an inspiring, supportive network of like-hearted people. Now, you’re only missing one key element…

  • Experience – Have they been where you are, and HOW did THEY grow?
